Is Pharmacy First free?
Yes. NHS Pharmacy First consultations are provided free of charge for eligible patients.
Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are recommended where available, although we also welcome walk-in patients whenever possible.
Will I receive antibiotics?
Not always. Antibiotics are only supplied when clinically appropriate in line with NHS guidance.

What is NHS Pharmacy First?
The NHS Pharmacy First Service allows community pharmacists to assess and treat patients with a range of common conditions without the need to see a GP first.
Following a clinical assessment, your pharmacist may:
Provide expert self-care advice.
Recommend over-the-counter medicines.
Supply NHS prescription-only medicines where clinically appropriate.
Refer you to your GP, NHS 111 or hospital if necessary.
